Willamette versus Pacific Lutheran Set for 7 p.m. at Courthouse Tennis Club

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University and Pacific Lutheran University will play a key Northwest Conference men's tennis match on Friday, March 6 at the Courthouse Tennis Club (1339 Madison NE), starting at 7 p.m. The match time has been changed from late afternoon to the evening due to the availability of indoor courts.

Willamette enters the match with a 4-1 overall record. The Bearcats are in third place in the Northwest Conference, also at 4-1 (.800). Pacific Lutheran is 6-3 overall and is fourth in the NWC standings at 6-2 (.750).

The Bearcats and Lutes will get underway with all three doubles matches, followed by the six singles matches. Cody Ferguson (Fr., North Bend, OR/North Bend HS/Western Oregon Univ.) and Micah Mack (Jr., Wenatchee, OR/Wenatchee HS) are 5-0 for the Bearcats in doubles so far this season. Ferguson and Andrew Murakami (Sr., Waihawa, HI/Univ. of Redlands) are both 4-1 in singles action.
