SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette men's tennis match at George Fox University has been moved to Sunday, April 14, in Newberg, Ore., in hopes of being able to play the match outdoors. The match was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 13, but the weather forecast looks better for Sunday.

Willamette will now take on the Bruins on Sunday at 3 p.m. (PDT) on the GFU campus. If the weather prevents the match from being played outdoors, the action will move indoors at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center in Beaverton, Ore., also at 3 p.m.

The Bearcats are currently 6-9 overall, including 6-4 in the Northwest Conference. George Fox is 11-4 on the season, with a 9-1 record in the NWC.

Before Willamette plays at George Fox, the Bearcats are scheduled to host Linfield College in the final home match of the season on Friday, April 12. Match time between the Bearcats and the Wildcats is set for 4 p.m. (PDT) at the WU Tennis Courts.

If the Willamette versus Linfield match is forced indoors by the weather, the teams will play at the Courthouse Tennis Center (1379 Madison St. NE), starting at 4 p.m.

Jack Schreiber of Willamette has achieved a 7-3 record in singles matches against NWC foes this season.
