SALEM, ORE. -- Jack Schreiber (Jr., Solana Beach, CA/The Grauer School) has been chosen Second Team All-Northwest Conference for the 2013-14 season in voting by the NWC head coaches. A total of 16 players received All-NWC recognition, with eight on the First Team and eight selected for the Second Team.

Schreiber finished the season with a 5-11 overall record in singles, including 5-7 in the NWC. Three of his losses were to NCAA Division I opponents. He played with great effort while competing mostly #3 singles, and saw some action as high as #2 singles. Last year, he played primarily #5 singles.

In 2012-13, he was 9-7 overall and 9-3 in the NWC in singles. He has achieved a 14-14 overall record and a 14-10 NWC record in singles during the past two spring seasons.

"It's something that he's deserved," Willamette Head Coach Rick Wood said about Schreiber being named All-NWC. "He's just one of those guys on the team who, no matter what position he has to play, he just goes out and does his best. I'm really proud of him. I now a lot of the guys in the conference don't look forward to playing Jack. He's just competitive. He has the heart."

Colton Malesovas, a junior at Whitman College, was named NWC Men's Tennis Player of the Year. Pacific University Head Coach Brian Jackson was selected NWC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
