Willamette at PLU Softball Doubleheader Moved from Saturday to Monday

Bearcats are Still Scheduled to Play at Puget Sound on Sunday

SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University softball doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at Pacific Lutheran University in Parkland, Wash., has been postponed until Monday, March 31 due to the weather. The teams will start the first game on Monday at 2 p.m. (PDT).

With Saturday's games moved to Monday, the Bearcats will now return to action on Sunday, March 30 at the University of Puget Sound. The Bearcats and the Loggers will get underway at 12 p.m. (PDT).

Willamette enters the weekend with a 12-11 overall record and an 8-5 mark in the Northwest Conference. The Bearcats are in third place in the NWC, one-half game in front of George Fox University (7-5). Puget Sound is 1-19 overall, 0-14 in the NWC. Pacific Lutheran is 7-17 on the season, 4-8 in the NWC.

The Bearcats swept Puget Sound in a doubleheader at Willamette on March 7, winning 2-1 and 6-2. WU defeated PLU one day later in the first game of a doubleheader. 11-5. The teams were tied 2-2 with Willamette batting in the bottom of the first inning when the second game was suspended due to the weather. That game will be made up later at Willamette.

Erin Norris leads the Bearcats with four home runs and is second on the team with 18 RBIs this season.
