Kisiday is Chosen NWC Women's Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week

SALEM, Ore. -- Alayna Kisiday (Jr., Silverdale, WA/Central Kitsap HS) from Willamette University has been named the Northwest Conference Women's Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts in dual meets on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18. During the two meets, Kisiday won a total of three individual events, placed second in one event, and swam the anchor leg on two winning medley relays, as the Bearcats took on Whitman and Whitworth at the WU Natatorium.

Against Whitman, Kisiday won the 100-yard freestyle in 55.27 seconds and swam the anchor leg on the winning 200-yard medley relay team in 1:54.94, as Willamette won by .05. She placed second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 2:03.29.

In the meet with Whitworth, Kisiday swam the anchor leg on the winning 400-yard medley relay, leading the Bearcats to a time of 4:13.57. She also won the 100-yard freestyle in 55.87 seconds and placed first in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:03.57.

Willamette will return to action at the Bruin Invitational, hosted by George Fox University, on Saturday, Dec. 2 and Sunday, Dec. 3. The meet will take place at the Chehalem Parks/Recreation Aquatic Center in Newberg, Oregon. Preliminary heats will be held each morning and the finals will be held each evening.
