Stepp to Compete in Women's High Jump at NCAA Championships on Thursday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. --Whitley Stepp (Fy., Silverton, OR/Regis HS) from Willamette University will compete in the women's high jump at the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, May 25. The high jump is set to begin at 6 p.m. EDT/3 p.m. PDT at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex. The high jump will feature 22 athletes and will continue on Thursday until the national champion is determined.

Stepp enters the NCAA Championships tied for 12th in the high jump at 5' 6" on the NCAA Division III performance list. She recorded her top jump while winning the Northwest Conference title on April 21. She has cleared at least 5' 3.25" at six track and field meets this season, including at least 5' 4.25" at three meets.

This spring, Stepp was named Women's Co-Rookie of the Meet at the 2023 NWC Track and Field Championships. In addition to winning the high jump, she took third place in the triple jump at 35' 1" and ran the anchor leg as Willamette placed third in the 4 x 100-meter relay in 49.83 seconds. She earned All-NWC honors in all three events.
