Kisielnicki's 14 Goals Lead to NWC Weekly Offensive Honor in Women's Lacrosse

SALEM, Ore. -- Sophomore attacker Claire Kisielnicki (Manitou Springs, CO/Manitou Springs HS) of Willamette University has been chosen as the Northwest Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts on March 9-10 in wins against the University of Puget Sound and Pacific University. The Bearcats downed Puget Sound, 23-3, in Tacoma, Washington, on Saturday and returned home to defeat Pacific, 20-1, on Sunday.

Kisielnicki scored a total of 14 goals in the two games. She began the weekend with five goals against the Loggers, and then tied a Willamette record with nine goals against the Boxers. She tied the school record set by Anabel Ohsman ('21), who scored nine goals against the University of Dallas in an 18-14 win on March 24, 2019.

During the two games this past weekend, Kisielnicki registered a total of 19 shots, including 16 shots on goal. In Willamette's three regular season games this season, Kisielnicki has scored a team-high 19 goals and also has one assist to rank first on the team with 20 total points. She has placed 84.6% of her shots on target.

The Bearcats tied the school record for team goals in a game with 23 against Puget Sound. WU matched the 23 goals scored against California Lutheran University in a 23-3 win on April 4, 2023.

Willamette is now 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the NWC. The Bearcats will take on Hope College (Mich.) at Sparks Field on Tuesday, March 12. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m. PDT.
