NWC Selects Bachiochi for Weekly Offensive Award after Setting School Record

SALEM, Ore. -- Lily Bachiochi (Jr., ATT, Henderson, NV/Coronado HS) from Willamette University has been chosen as the Northwest Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts during an 18-11 NWC win at Linfield University on Tuesday, March 19. Bachiochi set a Willamette record with 12 points against the Wildcats as she scored seven goals and provided five assists.

The previous school record was set by Anabel Ohsman ('21) on March 24, 2019 with nine goals and one assist for 10 points in an 18-14 win at the University of Dallas. In addition to tying the record for points, Bachiochi earned at least five assists in a game for the eighth time. Bachiochi set the WU record with six assists in a 19-10 win at Pacific University on March 4, 2023.

Against Linfield, she scored two goals in the first four minutes of the second quarter for a 4-2 lead. After Willamette fell behind 6-4, she led a 4-0 run by scoring the first two goals and assisting on the next two goals for an 8-6 advantage at halftime. She scored three goals and two assists in the second half.

In her career with the Bearcats, Bachiochi has scored 105 goals and earned 94 assists for 199 points. She has played in 41 games with 41 starts.

Willamette improved to 4-2 on the season and to 3-1 in the NWC with the win. The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, March 27 in a game at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. The first draw is set for 7 p.m. PDT.
