Bachiochi Repeats as NWC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Award Winner

SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University's Lily Bachiochi (Jr., ATT, Henderson, NV/Coronado HS) has been named the Northwest Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row after earning a total of 8 goals and 7 assists for 15 points in wins at Occidental College on March 27 and at California Lutheran University on March 29. Willamette defeated Occidental, 19-9, and downed California Lutheran, 19-11.

Bachiochi also received the offensive honor on March 25 after setting a Willamette record with 12 points in the Bearcats' 18-11 win at Linfield University on March 19. Bachiochi provided seven goals and five assists against the Wildcats.

Last week, Bachiochi was the top scorer in both road wins. Against the Occidental Tigers, she scored four goals and two assists. Two days later against the CLU Regals, she contributed four goals and five assists.

This season, she leads the Bearcats with 51 points. Bachiochi and Claire Kisielnicki (So., ATT, Manitou Springs, CO/Manitou Springs HS) are tied for first on the team with 29 goals, while Bachiochi holds the top spot with 22 assists. In her career, Bachiochi has scored 113 goals and 101 assists for 214 points.

Willamette is 6-2 on the season, including 3-1 in the NWC. The Bearcats will take on Whitman College on Saturday, March 6 in Salem, Oregon. Game time at Sparks Field is scheduled for 1 p.m. PDT.
