Outfielder Finishes Second All-Time at Willamette with 34 Career Homers

SALEM, ORE. -- T.C. Lee (Sr., LF, Lafayette, CA/Acalanes HS) from the Willamette University baseball team has been chosen First Team All-West Region for the 2011 season by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). A total of 15 players received First Team honors, with one designated hitter, nine field players and five pitchers selected.

Lee was one of two Northwest Conference athletes on the First Team. Utility player Tim Wilson from Linfield College, who played mostly in center field, also received a spot on the First Team.

Another 17 players from throughout the West Region were named to the Second Team. An additional 18 players were chosen for the Third Team.

Lee led Willamette and ranked second in the NWC with a .417 batting average this spring. He also ranked first for the Bearcats and second in the conference with 44 runs and 44 RBIs.

His efforts during the season allowed Lee to top the NWC with a .785 slugging percentage, 12 home runs and 113 total bases. He tied for first in the NWC with five sacrifice flies.

Lee achieved 60 hits this spring to tie for fourth on WU's single season list. He pounded out 15 doubles, smacked one triple and walked 22 times, while recording a .497 on-base percentage.

In left field, Lee registered 79 putouts and six assists. He earned a .966 fielding percentage.

Lee finished his four years at Willamette ranked second all-time for the Bearcats with a .368 career batting average, 201 hits, 45 doubles and 34 home runs. Throughout his WU career, Lee hit above the .300 mark. He played in 151 games and started 147 contests.

This year, Lee was named First Team All-NWC for the second consecutive season (2010, 2011). He earned Second Team All-NWC recognition in 2008 and was Honorable Mention All-NWC in 2009. He was chosen NWC Hitter Student-Athlete of the Week on May 3, 2011 for his efforts during the final week of the season.

T.C. Lee hit .417 this season with 15 doubles and 12 home runs.
