SALEM, ORE. -- The baseball make-up game between Willamette University and Corban University set for Tuesday, March 20 has been canceled. The game was initially scheduled as part of a doubleheader at Corban on Feb. 25, but wet grounds and the weather prevented the teams from playing. Baseball players on both teams were hoping to complete one of the games on Tuesday at Volcanoes Stadium, but rain has forced another cancellation.

Rain in the Salem and Keizer communities over the past couple of days, along with additional rain on Tuesday, made field conditions unplayable at Volcanoes Stadium. No new make-up date has been selected.

Willamette is 5-14 on the season. The Bearcats will play at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Ore., on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25. On Saturday, the Bearcats and the Pioneers will play two games, with the action starting at 12 p.m. (PDT). On Sunday, the teams will play one game beginning at 1 p.m. (PDT).

Shortstop Tommy Kawamura leads the Bearcats with 61 assists this season.
