Willamette to Host Oregon Tech in 9-Inning Game on Tuesday

Bearcats and Owls will Play at John Lewis Field at 2 p.m.

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University and the Oregon Institute of Technology will play a 9-inning baseball game at John Lewis Field on Tuesday, March 27, starting at 2 p.m. (PDT). The Bearcats and the Owls were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader hosted by Oregon Tech, but the games have been moved to Salem.

Willamette enters the game with a 7-15 overall record, while the Owls are 13-17.

The Bearcats won two of three games at Lewis & Clark College this past weekend to improve to 5-7 in the Northwest Conference. After playing the non-conference game against Oregon Tech, the Bearcats will return to NWC action on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 against Pacific University.

Willamette's three-game series with Pacific will be played at John Lewis Field. On Saturday, the Bearcats and Boxers will play two games with first pitch set for 12 p.m. (PDT). On Sunday, the teams will conclude the series with one game starting at 1 p.m. (PDT).

Tyson Giza is tied for second on the team with 18 runs scored. He has scored 80 runs in his career.
