
SALEM, Ore. -- The schedule has changed for this weekend's Northwest Conference baseball series between Willamette University and the University of Puget Sound. The three-game series remains scheduled for John Lewis Field, but it will now begin with a single game on Saturday, March 5, followed by a doubleheader on Sunday, March 6.
The Bearcats and the Loggers will open the series on Saturday with a game at 2 p.m. (PST). On Sunday, the teams will play two games, with the first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m. and the second game likely to begin at about 2 p.m.
Willamette enters the series with a 5-5 overall record and a 3-3 mark in the NWC. Puget Sound is 7-6 overall, 4-2 in the NWC.
