GREENSBORO, N.C. — Willamette University's baseball team has qualified for the Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) for 2023-24. Teams qualified for the honor by earning a 3.0 team grade point average on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.
The baseball team earned a combined 3.27 cumulative GPA for the 2023-24 academic year.
The ABCA selected 181 teams from NCAA Division III to receive the award. The list included Willamette and three other Northwest Conference teams. More than 470 collegiate programs were recognized with this year's award.
