Seven Willamette University Baseball team members were named to the All-Northwest Conference for their performance during the 2025 season. First-baseman Luke Piazza and outfielders Preston Lau and Nate Hamburger were named to the first team, third-baseman Tassos Foster received second-team honors, and second-baseman Drew Baskin, outfielder Rocco Granucci, and pitcher Dylan Turner received honorable mention recognition.
Nate Hamburger
.391 batting avg., .500 on-base percentage, 39 runs, 9 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs, 20 RBI, 24 stolen bases.
The junior outfield led the Bearcats in batting average and was third in the Northwest Conference in hitting. He also led the team and the conference in on-base percentage and stolen bases, setting a record with five steals in a single game and placing second all-time for stolen bases in a season. Hamburger was second on the team in runs and slugging percentage and second in the NWC in walks.
Preston Lau
.381 batting average, 18 runs, 5 doubles, 3 home runs, 29 RBI, 5 stolen bases.
The senior outfielder finished second on the team in batting average and hits and was third in runs batted in. He has the fifth highest batting average in the Northwest Conference and was #10 in total hits.
Luke Piazza
.378 batting average, .614 slugging percentage, 26 runs, 9 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs, 35 RBI.
An honorable mention All-NWC selection in 2024, the senior first baseman led the Bearcats in slugging, doubles, triples, and runs batted in, while finishing second on the team in hits and home runs. He was top seven in the conference in six different offensive categories.
Tassos Foster
.305 batting average, .539 slugging percentage, 43 runs, 9 doubles, 3 triples, 6 home runs, 30 RBI, 9 stolen bases
A second-team selection in 2024, the senior third baseman led Willamette in runs, doubles, triples, home runs, and walks. He led the NWC in runs and walks and was in the top ten in five other offensive categories.
Drew Baskin
.261 batting average, 24 runs, 5 doubles, 5 home runs, 27 RBI, 6 stolen bases
An honorable mention selection in 2024, the senior second baseman was second on the team in home runs, fourth in runs batted in, and fifth in runs scored. He led the team and the Northwest Conference in sacrifice flies and was tied for 13th in the NWC for home runs.
Rocco Granucci
.322 batting average, 25 runs, 6 doubles, 4 home runs, 19 RBI
The senior outfielder ranked fourth on the team in runs, home runs, and batting average, with his .322 batting average placing him at #20 in the Northwest Conference.
Dylan Turner
6-2, 3 saves, 60 ⅔ IP, 43 Ks, 4.45 ERA
The junior pitcher led the Bearcats in wins and saves, registering the second-most wins in the NWC and the fourth-highest save total. He was #10 in the conference in earned run average and allowed the third-lowest batting average to opponents in the league.
