Malley Earns Recognition as NWC Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week

Gains 191 Yards and Scores Twice in Win at Pacific

SALEM, ORE. -- Terrell Malley (Jr., HB, Portland, OR/Roosevelt HS) of Willamette University has been chosen as the Northwest Conference Football Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts in the Bearcats' 35-31 win at Pacific University on Saturday, Nov. 3. With the victory, Willamette improved to 7-2 on the season, including 3-2 in the NWC.

Malley carried the ball 12 times for 87 yards and one touchdown against the Boxers, while catching 7 passes for 104 yards and one touchdown, as he accumulated 191 yards overall. His 19-yard touchdown catch with 6:42 left in the third quarter pulled the Bearcats within 17-14.

His 6-yard TD run with 14:26 left in the fourth quarter gave Willamette a 28-17 lead. After Pacific moved in front 31-28 with 2:32 remaining, Malley caught two passes on Willamette's game-winning 76-yard drive, including a 22-yard catch on 4th-and-4 from the Willamette 43.

Willamette took the lead when Dylan Jones (So., RB, Santa Maria, CA/Ernest Righetti HS) scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 27 seconds remaining.

Malley ranks second on the Bearcats' rushing chart this season with 249 yards on 32 carries for an average of 7.8 yards per attempt. He has caught 30 passes for 309 yards. He has scored two rushing touchdowns, while adding two touchdowns on pass receptions.

He has increased his career rushing totals to 1,146 yards and 12 touchdowns on 157 carries. He owns a career average of 7.3 yards per rush.

The Bearcats will conclude their season on Saturday, Nov. 10 when they host the University of Puget Sound at McCulloch Stadium in Salem, Ore. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. (PST).
