Willamette Football Schedule for 2020 Includes Six Home Games

SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette University football team is scheduled to play six of its 10 games at home during the 2020 season. The home schedule features two non-conference games, plus four of the Bearcats' seven Northwest Conference match-ups.

Willamette is set to open the season with back-to-back home games. The Bearcats will host Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.) on Saturday, Sept. 5. One week later, WU will take on the University of La Verne (Calif.) at McCulloch Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 12. Both games will start at 1 p.m. (PDT).

The Bearcats will play their first road game on Sept. 19 at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m.

After an open weekend, Northwest Conference play will get underway on Oct. 3 with Willamette hosting Whitworth University at 4 p.m. Other NWC home games for the Bearcats will be against Linfield University on Oct. 17, Lewis & Clark College on Oct. 24, and the University of Puget Sound on Nov. 7. The games against Linfield, L&C and Puget Sound will start at 1 p.m. Homecoming and Family Weekend will include the Willamette versus Whitworth game. The Bearcats will celebrate Senior Day against Puget Sound.

NWC road games for the Bearcats will be played at Pacific University on Oct. 10, at George Fox University on Oct. 31 and at Pacific Lutheran University on Nov. 14. All three games are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
