
Kai Brown was named the Northwest Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of November 26 - December 1st based on his performance in an 86-65 victory over Caltech.
Brown came off the bench to spark the Bearcats to a sweep of their Southern California road trip. In the final game versus the Beavers, the first-year guard scored a career-high 20 points in only 24 minutes of action. He was 5-7 from the field, including 2-4 from beyond the arc, and made 8 free throws in 9 attempts.
Brown set new career highs for points in every game played on the three-game swing. He scored 13 points in only fourteen minutes in a 101-90 win over Whittier College and 16 points in the Willamette victory over previously unbeaten Chapman University. For the weekend he was 14-21 from the field, 3-7 from beyond the arc, and 18-21 from the foul line.
