Brown is NWC Rookie of the Year, Dean Named Honorable Mention All-NWC

Kai Brown and D'Ante Dean were each honored by the coaches of the Northwest Conference based on their performance during this past season.  Dean received Honorable Mention All-NWC honors and Brown was named the NWC Rookie of the Year.

Dean had an outstanding Senior season that saw him lead the team in rebounding and blocked shots while finishing second in assists per game and third on the team in scoring at 12.4 ppg.  He scored in double figures in 11 of the 15 games he played, with a high game of 24 points against Linfield on February 14th.  He also had four double-doubles during the conference season.  In conference play, Dean finished second in rebounding and third in blocked shots.  He was also 16th in scoring and 12th in assists from his post position.

Brown made an immediate impact as a first-year player and finished second on the team in scoring at 13.3 ppg.  Starting the season coming off the bench, Brown provided a spark for the Bearcats and earned a starting spot midway through conference play.  He was second on the team in steals and third in assists while shooting an impressive 47% from the field and 82% from the foul line.  He scored his career high 28 points against the University of Puget Sound on February 21st.  In conference play, he finished 9th in scoring and 12th in assists.
