
Walla Walla, WA - Men's Golf shot their second consecutive round of 296 to finish at +16 overall and in 5th place at the Confluence Classic hosted by Whitman College. Brock Olson finished 11th overall by shooting a two-day total of 145. Playing as an individual, Paxton Jones had the low round of the day for the Bearcats with a 1-under 71.
The Bearcats shot an identical team score of 296 on day two but had different team members factor into the scoring. Jack Carr rebounded from an opening-day 85 to shoot 74 on day two, with three birdies and an eagle in his opening seven holes. Olson followed up his first-round 72 with a second-round 73, while teammates Lucas Paul (74-74), Alexander Papajohn (75-75), and Oliver Smith (75-75) each scored the say on both days of the event across the two different courses.
Jones led the way for the four individual participants for the Bearcats, finishing 18th overall with a total of 149 (78-71) for the event. Benedikt Morsch came in with a two-day total of 152 (72-80), followed by Kyler Phillips at 157 (80-77), and Connor Murphy with 158 (77-81).
The next tournament for Men's Golf will be the Bushnell University Invitational held on Monday, October 28th, and Tuesday, October 29th. That will be the final event of the fall season.
