Kim scores 3rd goal of the season but Men’s Soccer falls at Pacific 3-1

Forest Grove, OR - For the second road game in a row, Men's Soccer scored an early goal but were unable to hold on for the win.  This time it was a score by Sean Kim in the 7th minute, but Pacific would score the next three goals for the win.

Kim's goal, coming off an assist from Krisna LaFrance, gave the Bearcats an early lead, but it was short-lived as Pacific responded with two goals of their own over the next three minutes.  Willamette continued to attack but found themselves trailing 2-1 as the match headed to halftime.

The second half was full of fouls as the Bearcats battled back and the Boxers protected their lead.  In the 64th minute, Pacific was able to find the back of the net again, giving them the 3-1 advantage that proved to be the final score.

The Boxers outshot Willamette 8-6 for the match, 7-4 on goal.  Kim led the Bearcats with three shots, with Tiago Palhetas adding two.  Ryan Doyle made five saves in goal for Willamette.

After playing their last three matches on the road, Willamette returns home to Sparks Field on Sunday, October 13th, to face off against Linfield University at Noon.
