
Portland, OR - Men's Soccer scored the most goals of the season in a 4-0 victory at Lewis & Clark College. Rory McKee scored the lone goal of the first half and the Bearcats scored three times in the first eight minutes of the second half to seal the conference road win.
Willamette attacked the Pioneers from the opening kick and was whistled for three offsides calls in the first few minutes of the contest and outshot Lewis & Clark 7-2 in the opening half. The match stayed scoreless until the 33rd minute when Dylan Ray assisted McKee as he scored in his second consecutive match.
The Bearcats got off to a fast start in the second half as Krisna LaFrance scored only 22 seconds into the half off an assist from Andrew Reed. Willamette was not done as Evan Mariscal scored just under three minutes later off the feed from Sean Kim and LaFrance found the back of the net again just four minutes after Mariscal's goal.
For the match, Willamette outshot the Pioneers 12-2. Mariscal led the Bearcats with three shots, while Kim and LaFrance each added two. Ryan Doyle started in goal and saved the only shot he saw in his time on the field. Evan Bierman played the final nine minutes of the match to combine with Doyle on the shutout.
The Bearcats return home this weekend to take on the University of Puget Sound at Noon on Saturday, October 19th, and Pacific Lutheran University at Noon on Sunday, October 20th.
