Walla Walla, Wash. - Men's Swimming had several second and third-place finishes in their dual meet against Whitman, but fell to the host Blues by a score of 157-44.
Willamette started the meet with a second-place finish in the 400 Medley Relay by the team of Nicholas Moore, Ka'olapa Masuko, Cole Lindberg, and Kevin Olmedo in a time of 3:49.48. Olmedo followed up that performance with runner-up finishes in both the 50-yard and 100-yard Freestyle events.
Lindberg and Masuko partnered again for a second-place finish in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay, adding teammates Ethan Davies and Paul Keith. Lindberg also took third place in the 200-yard Individual Medley in a time of 2:09.00. Davies finished fourth in the 1000-yard Free, just behind teammate Moore, and Keith took third in the 200-yard Freestyle.
In addition to his third-place finish in the 1000, Moore placed second in the 500 Free with a time of 5:24.80, ahead of teammates Lucas Cardenas (5th) and Paul Keith (6th).
The Bearcats return to the water on Saturday, November 23rd, and Sunday, November 24th, when they compete at the Bruin Invitational hosted by George Fox University.
