Lindberg, Moore, and Masuko Race to Wins Against Puget Sound

Salem, Ore. - Willamette Men's Swimming had three first-place finishes and several more second-place swims but fell to the University of Puget Sound 136-68 on senior day.  After the meet, the Bearcats celebrated the careers of Cole Lindberg and Ethan Davies.  

In his final home meet, Linberg swam to victory in the 100-yard Butterfly in a time of 52.79.  Davies put together fourth-place finishes in each of his events on the afternoon, the 1650-yard and 500-yard Freestyle races and the 400-yard Individual Medley.

Nicholas Moore was another winner for the Bearcats, racing to victory in the 500-yard Freestyle after finishing second in the 1650 Free.  Ka'olapa Masuko was the final first-place finisher for Willamette by recording a time of 1:01.38 in the 100-yard Backstroke.  Masuko also took third in the 100-yard Freestyle.

Paul Keith and Kevin Olmedo finished second in two separate events during the meet. Keith took second in the 200- and 500-yard Freestyle races, while Olmedo was runner-up in the 50- and 100-yard Freestyles.

Willamette will finish the dual meet season at Linfield University on Saturday, February 1st, at 11:00 a.m. From February 13 to 16, they will compete at the Northwest Conference Championships in Federal Way, Washington.
