Men’s Tennis Falls at Puget Sound 7-0

Tacoma, Wash. - Playing their third road match in two days, Willamette Men's Tennis fought hard at Puget Sound before falling to the Loggers 7-0.  Hudson Snyder and Zack Olander won the only match for the Bearcats with a 7-6 win at #1 Doubles.  The duo won the tie-breaker 11-9.  With new scoring rules this year, the Loggers still won the doubles point with wins at #2 and #3 Doubles.

AJ Avansino was another Bearcat to play a couple of close matches.  He and partner Andre Lief fell 6-4 at #3 doubles and Avansino lost his #1 Singles match 6-3, 6-3 to Jason Rowe of Puget Sound.

The Bearcats return home next weekend to host Whitman College at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 22nd, and Whitworth University at 10:00 am on Sunday, February 23rd.
