Newberg, Ore. - Elijah Jones placed fifth in the pole vault Saturday at the George Fox Indoor, clearing a final height of 4.05 meters or 13'3.5".  

Jones failed on his first attempt of the day but went on to clear 3.90m on his next attempt and cleared 4.05m on his first try.  He failed on all three attempts at 4.20m to earn the fifth-place finish.

The next competition for Willamette Track & Field is scheduled for Saturday, February 22nd when they travel to Southwestern Oregon Community College.
