
Newberg, Ore. - Myles Crandall scored 5,960 points to finish fourth overall in the Decathlon at the Northwest Conference Multi-Event Championships, hosted by George Fox University. Teammate Isaiah Martushev finished eighth overall in the event.
Crandall had four personal-best performances in the ten events, running best times in the 100 and 1500 meter runs and the 110 meter Hurdles, and a best distance in the Shot Put. Crandall's best events over the two days were a first-place finish in the 1500 and a second-place time in the 400. He took fourth place in four other events - the 100, Long Jump, Shot Put, and 110m Hurdles.
Martushev had three personal bests: the 400-meter run on the first day, the Pole Vault and 1500 on day two. His top finishes during the event were a third-place finish in the Pole Vault, fifth place in the Discus, and sixth in the 1500-meter run.
The next meet for Track & Field is the Northwest Conference Championships on Saturday, April 26th, and Sunday, April 27th. The two-day event will be hosted by Lewis & Clark College.
