Hennum and Chew lead Men’s Cross Country at Harrier Classic

McMinnville, OR - William Hennum (27th) and Jay Chew (52nd) helped Willamette Men's Cross Country to a 6th-place team finish in the Harrier Classic hosted by Linfield University.  The Bearcats had the third-best finish among NCAA Division III teams at the event, which was won by the University of Portland with Corban University finishing second.

Hennum finished with a final time of 19:19.07.  Chew was the next to finish for Willamette with a time of 20:05.88, followed closely by Liam Bergevin (65th) at 20:29.83 and Adam Lewis (66th) at 20:30.29.  Josh Evans (83rd) rounded out the scoring for the Bearcat, finishing with a time of 21:03.50.  The final two finishers for Willamette were Julien Trobaugh at 21:12.07 and Sage Soto at 21:13.17.

The next race for the cross country team will be on Friday, September 13th, at the Ash Creek Collegiate Invitational hosted by Western Oregon University.
