Chew finishes 26th, leads Cross County to 6th place at NWC Championships

Independence, Ore. - The men's cross country team finished in sixth place at the Northwest Conference Championships hosted by Willamette University at the Oak Knoll Golf Course.  Jay Chew crossed the finish line first for the Bearcats in a time of 26:01.3.

A pack of Bearcats finished the team scoring with four runners finishing between 41st and 49th place.  Adam Lewis completed the 8K course in 26:44.8, followed closely by Sage Soto at 26:45.2.  The next group of Bearcats was Julien Trobaugh at 27:10.7 and Willam Hennum with a time of 27:21.3.

The final finishers for Willamette were Liam Bergevin at 27:52 and Joshua Evans in a time of 27:55.3.

The team's next race will be on Saturday, November 16th, at the NCAA Division III West Regional hosted by Lewis & Clark College.
