Softball Games at George Fox Delayed until Friday

NEWBERG, ORE. -- The softball doubleheader between Willamette University and George Fox University scheduled for Wednesday, April 6 has been postponed until Friday, April 8 due to the weather and wet conditions at Morse Field in Newberg, Ore.

Willamette and George Fox will attempt to play the games on Friday at Morse Field, starting at 2 p.m. (PDT). The doubleheader was originally scheduled for March 13 as part of a four-game weekend series, but both days were rained out. The first doubleheader was made up on March 31, with Willamette winning the opening game, 7-3, and Bruins edging out the Bearcats in the second game, 4-3.

For the season, Willamette is 13-12 overall and 10-7 in the Northwest Conference. George Fox is 9-19 on the season, 3-13 in the NWC.

Willamette currently holds third place in the NWC standings. The top four teams will qualify for the NWC Tournament at the end of the regular season (April 22-23).

Hope Kloczko has played in 20 games so far this season.
