Softball Doubleheader is Postponed; Series Rescheduled

Bearcats and Bruins will Play on March 31 and April 6

NEWBERG, ORE. -- Willamette University and George Fox University have postponed the softball doubleheader scheduled to be played at GFU's Morse Field on Thursday, March 17. The doubleheader was originally slated for Saturday, March 12, but the entire four-game weekend series at George Fox was postponed due to rain and wet grounds.

The Bearcats and the Bruins have rescheduled the doubleheaders for Thursday, March 31 and Wednesday, April 6 in Newberg, Ore. Game time each day will be 2 p.m. (PDT).

Willamette's next action will be over Spring Break, when the team will travel to California. The Bearcats will take on the University of Redlands on March 19, the University of La Verne on March 21, Whittier College on March 22 and Pomona-Pitzer on March 23.

WU will close out the Spring Break week by hosting the University of Puget Sound on Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27. Game time is slated for 12 p.m. (PDT) each day.

The Bearcats, who have not played since March 6, are 3-7 on the season and 3-5 in the Northwest Conference. George Fox is 6-10 overall, 1-5 in the NWC.

Susie Krewer and the rest of the Bearcats will play George Fox on March 31 and April 6.
