SALEM, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, March 4 between Willamette University and Linfield College at the WU Softball Field has been postponed due to wet grounds and the threat of more rain. No make-up date has been selected.

Weather conditions and the forecast will be examined tonight and tomorrow morning in order to make a decision about playing the doubleheader scheduled for the Bearcats and the Wildcats on Sunday, March 5. For now, the teams still hope to play on Sunday, starting at 12 p.m. (PST) at the WU Softball Field.

Willamette is 1-2 on the season and 1-0 in the Northwest Conference. Linfield is 9-1 on the season, 3-1 in the NWC. The Wildcats are ranked #7 in the NCAA Division III Poll released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
