SALEM, Ore. -- For the second consecutive day weather conditions have postponed a doubleheader in the scheduled Northwest Conference softball series between Willamette University and Linfield College. This time, the twinbill set for Sunday, March 5 at the WU Softball Field, has been postponed.

The first two games of the series, origianally scheduled for Saturday, March 4, also were put on hold until later in the season due to wet grounds and the weather forecast.

No make-up date has been determined for either doubleheader.

Willamette holds at 1-2 on the season and 1-0 in the Northwest Conference. Linfield is 9-1 overall and 3-1 in the NWC. The Wildcats are ranked #7 in the NCAA Division III Poll released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

Up next on the Bearcats' schedule is a four-game series at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, on Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12. A doubleheader is slated for each day starting at 12 p.m. (PST) on Saturday and 12 p.m. (PDT) on Sunday.
