Willamette Softball Doubleheader at Whitworth is Canceled due to Snow

SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Northwest Conference softball doubleheader between Willamette University and Whitworth University set for Saturday, March 24 has been canceled due to snow on the ground in Spokane, Washington. The doubleheader will be made up later in the season if possible. Willamette and Whitworth hope to play this weekend's second doubleheader on Sunday, March 25 at 12 p.m. (PDT) as originally scheduled.

Whitworth is currently 14-8 on the season, including 7-3 in the NWC. The Bearcats are 3-12 overall, 3-9 in the NWC.

Following Sunday's games, the Bearcats are scheduled to play four games in Southern California. Willamette will take on Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.) in a doubleheader at 2:30 p.m. (PDT) on Tuesday, March 27 in Claremont. The Bearcats will remain in Claremont to battle University of St. Katherine (Calif.) in two games on Tuesday, March 28 starting at 11 a.m.
