Earned First Team All-NWC in the 200 yard fly with a time of 1:53.46" ... Also earned Second Team All-NWC in the 100 fly, 100 free, and the 200 individual medley ... Earned Second Team All-NWC honors in three events as a freshman while also setting a Willamette record by swimming the 200-yard butterfly in 1:53.86, which was fast enough to register an NCAA "B" qualifying time ... Finished 4th in the 500-yard freestyle, 5th in the 200 yard butterfly, and 6th in the 100-yard butterfly at the NWC Championships ... Participated in swimming for four years at Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, Calif. ... Helped his team win WCAL and CCS championships ...
