Bearcats to Play at Oregon Tech in Women's Basketball

Tip-off Set for 5:30 p.m. in Klamath Falls on Saturday, Dec. 10

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University will take on Oregon Institute of Technology in women's basketball on Saturday, Dec. 10 in Klamath Falls, Ore. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. (PST). The Bearcats will be seeking their second win a row after defeating William Jessup University, 78-59, on Thursday.

Willamette, which competes in NCAA Division III, enters the game with a 1-6 overall record. Oregon Tech, which play in the NAIA, is 10-1 overall, including 5-0 at home. The Owls defeated Pacific Union, 68-34, on Friday and will be playing their fourth consecutive home game.

The leading scorer for Willamette, Mackenzie Lamson (So., Wing, Portland, OR/Lincoln HS), will likely be out of the lineup as she recovers from a leg injury suffered last weekend. Lamson is averaging 12.3 points per game. She also missed Thursday's win over William Jessup.

Senior forward Kaileigh Westermann (Belfair, WA/South Kitsap HS) has provided the Bearcats with 8.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Freshman wing Katelyn Nordlien (Salem, OR/North Salem HS) recorded her first collegiate double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds against WJU on Thursday.

Aundrea Albright tops the Oregon Tech scoring chart with 11.7 points per game. Karissa Dixon has provided 10.5 points per game, while Kassi Conditt has scored 9.3 points and grabbed 6.4 rebounds per game.
