SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette University women's basketball team defeated the Willamette Alumni, 91-70, in the annual Alumni Game on Sunday, Nov. 1 on Gordie James Court at Cone Field House.

Five Willamette varsity players scored in double figures, led by Madi Andresen (So., F, Forest Grove, OR/Forest Grove HS) with 17 points. Kylie Towry (Jr./So.., G, Medford, OR/South Medford HS) added 15 points.

Ashley Evans (So., PG, Canby, OR/Canby HS) and Whitney Anderson (So., G, Willamina, OR/Willamina HS) each scored 14 points, while Marisa Hamilton contributed 10. Evans connected on 4 of 8 three-point shots.

The Willamette Alumni team included Jojo DeLong, Becca Josephson, Alexa Beeson, Sophie Wilson, Kaileigh Westermann, Maya McFaddin, Molly Fillion, Jenny Fillion, and Robin (Heard) Buckingham.

Willamette will play at exhibition game at the University of Portland on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. (PST). The first regular season game for the Bearcats will be against Dallas Christian at the Multnomah University Invitational on Friday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. (PST).
