First Round Partially Completed at Pacific Invitational in Women's Golf

BANKS, ORE. -- Willamette University and seven other teams partially completed the first round of the Pacific Invitational in women's golf at the Quail Valley Golf Club on Saturday, Feb. 27.The teams did not finish the first round due to darkness and will continue play tomorrow morning, Sunday, Feb. 28 at 9 a.m. (PST). The second round also will be held on Sunday.

Chung (Fr., Hilo, HI/Hilo HS) was WU's top finisher as she carded a 92. She is currently in 16th place. Serena Cualoping (Fr., Makaita Metro Manila, Philippines/International School of Manila) shot 100 and Tanya Schiller (Sr., South Bend, WA/South Bend HS) shot 114. Jayleen Morris (Fr., Waldport, OR/Waldport HS) has yet to complete her round.

Mandy Cameron of George Fox University is currently the leader. She carded a 77. Twelve golfers have not completed their first round of play. Team scores will not be tallied until all golfers have finished the first round.
