Srivastav Places 12th at Willamette's Spring Trilogy #1 in Women's Golf

WOODBURN, Ore. -- Anushka Srivastav (Fy., Pune, India/Mahindra International School) of Willamette University shot a 97 to place 12th overall at the Spring Trilogy #1 women's golf tournament hosted by the Bearcats at the OGA Golf Course on Saturday, March 5. The Bearcats had just three competitors as Meghan Hook (Sr., Sunnyvale, CA/Homestead HS) was unable to compete due to an injury.

George Fox University won the team title with a score of 299. Linfield University placed second at 379 and Lewis & Clark College finished third at 401. Willamette did not receive a team score.

Srivastav was one of three Bearcats who competed in the women's Spring Trilogy #1. Alexis Schwartz (Grad., Ontario, OR/Ontario HS) registered a score of 110. Kiki Fierstos (Sr., Redmond, OR/Redmond HS) shot a 135.

Medalist honors went to Alison Takamiya from George Fox, who bested the field with a score of even par 72. Takamiya recorded four birdies and four bogeys to go along with 10 pars.

Takamiya led five GFU players at the top of the leaderboard. Avery Kageyama was second with a score of 75, while Kiana Toole and Makensie Toole tied for third place at 76. Liana Brown was fifth with a 78.

Kamryn Ford of Lewis & Clark earned sixth place at 79. Kaitlyn Tonai of George Fox was seventh at 82, while Allie Slingsby of the Bruins placed eighth at 86. Tori Schuller from Linfield took ninth place at 88 and her teammate Reagan Barr was 10th with a 94.

Willamette is set to compete again on March 12 and March 13 at Pacific University's tournament. The 36-hole event will be played at the Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks, Oregon.
