BANKS, Ore. – The Willamette University women's golf team traveled to the Quail Valley Golf Course for day one of the Boxer Invitational on Saturday, March 12. The Bearcats turned in some solid performances, competing against Lewis and Clark College and host Pacific University.

Anushka Srivastav (Fy., Pune, India/Mahindra International School) carded a round of 99 to rank fourth in the individual standings after the first round. Alexis Schwartz (Gr., Ontario, OR/Ontario HS) is currently tied for sixth, turning in a 107 while Meghan Hook (Sunnyvale, CA/Homestead HS) is just one stroke back in eighth with a 108. Kiki Fierstos (Sr., Redmond, OR/Redmond) came in with a 122 on the day.

Pacific's Avery Arnold holds a four-stroke lead over Lewis and Clark's Olivia Weaver (86-90). The Bearcats were schedueld to return to Quail Valley on Sunday for the final round of the tournament. Heavy rain left course conditions unplayable and day two was cancelled.
