Moore Leads Bearcats with 87 in Bearcat Women's Dual #2 versus Wildcats

AURORA, Ore. -- Roberta Moore (So., Lakewood, WA/Lakes HS/Lewis & Clark College) shot an 87 for Willamette University on Sunday, April 14 during the Bearcat Women's Dual #2 against Linfield University at Langdon Farms Golf Club. She placed third in the individual standings.

Linfield won the team competition between the Bearcats and the Wildcats with a score of 354. Willamette registered a team score of 364.

Moore also led Willamette in the Bearcat Women's Dual #1 on Saturday, April 13 at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Oregon. On Saturday, Moore shot an 86 for second place, helping WU shoot 352 as team to win by one stroke over Linfeld's score of 353.

At Langdon Farms, Josie Daywitt of Linfield claimed the individual title for the second day in a row. She won the Bearcat Women's Dual #1 with a score of 85 at Trysting Tree, then won on Sunday with a score of 82.

Daywitt was followed by teammate Caitlin Hillman on Sunday with an 85. Moore's 87 for Willamette was third on the leaderboard and Tori Schuller from Linfield was fourth with an 88. Mallory Tolliver (So., Columbus, OH/Upper Arlington HS) of WU placed fifth with a score of 91.

Also on Willamette's team were Saida Seelig (So., Portland, OR/Wilson HS) and Anushka Srivastav (Sr., Pune, India/Mahindra International School). Seelig and Srivastav each carded a 93 at Langdon Farms.

The Bearcats will return to Langdon Farms Golf Club next weekend for the NWC Tournament. The 36-hole event is worth one-half of the overall NWC Championship and will be played on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21. The NWC Fall Classic and the NWC Spring Classic, which have already been played, are each worth one-fourth of the overall title.
