Walla Walla, WA - Saida Seelig shot an opening round 82, lowering her season-best score by six strokes, and went on to a two-day total of 171 and a 39th-place finish at the Confluence Classic hosted by Whitman College.
Seelig's previous low round of 88 was during day one of the Northwest Conference Fall Classic on Sunday, October 13th. In this weekend's first round, held at Veterans Memorial Golf Club, she got off to a great start by opening with par on seven of the first eight holes. For the day, Seelig registered ten pars and also birdied the par-3 17th hole.
The second round was played at Wine Valley Golf Club and didn't start as well as Sunday's opening round with Seelig carding a double-bogey on the first two holes. She was able to rebound and par seven holes on the day for a final-round score of 89.
The next tournament for Women's Golf will be the Bushnell University Invitational held on Monday, October 28th, and Tuesday, October 29th. That will be the final event of the fall season.
