Seelig Finishes 42nd Overall at Boxer Invitational

North Plains, Ore. - Saida Seelig finished in 42nd place overall as an individual at the Boxer Invitational hosted by Pacific University.  After an opening round of 92, Seelig shot a second round 99 to finish the two-day event with a total of 191.

On a challenging course at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, Seelig birdied the par-4 17th hole during her first round and added three additional pars.  In her second round, she parred holes two and fourteen and added seven bogeys on her way to the final score.  Her 191 for the event put her two strokes ahead of Francesca Brinkman of the University of Puget Sound and Madelyn Moore of Corban University.

The next event for Women's Golf is the Willamette Valley Cup on Saturday, March 15th and Sunday, March 16th.  The Bearcats are hosting this event at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Oregon.
