Walker Earns NWC Women's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week

SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University's Kelsey Walker (So., M/GK, Westerville, OH/Westerville North HS) has been named Northwest Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week after scoring a total of three goals in two games played during the week ending on Sunday, Oct. 4.

It is the second consecutive week that Walker has received an NWC honor. She was named NWC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week after playing goalkeeper and earning a shutout in Willamette's 1-0 victory over Whitworth University on Oct. 27.

This past week, Walker scored the first two goal in a 3-0 win at George Fox University on Saturday, Oct. 3 and then scored the only goal in a 1-0 triumph on the road at Lewis & Clark College on Sunday. She earned her three goals on eight total shots with four shots on goal.

Walker has scored four goals in the last three games she has played as a midfielder. Willamette leads the Northwest Conference with a 5-1 record and is 5-4-1 overall.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 10 with a home game against Pacific University. Game time at Sparks Field is set for 12 p.m. (PDT).
