Tacoma, WA - Women's Soccer finished their road trip to Tacoma with another tie, this time a 1-1 draw with the University of Puget Sound. Nina Krassner-Cybulski scored for the Bearcats in the 76th minute, but the Loggers tied it up with just over five minutes left and neither team was able to score the deciding goal.
The match saw Puget Sound outshoot Willamette 23-7, but the Bearcats made the most of their opportunities. The goal came on a breakaway led by Natalie Rodriguez-De La Torre, who made a nice delivery to Krassner-Cybulski who was able to slot the ball past the Loggers goalkeeper.
Puget Sound picked up their attack after the Bearcat goal and was turned away throughout the match's final minutes by the Willamette defense, but Zoe Fowler was able to break through in the 85th minute on her fourth shot of the match.
Krassner-Cybulski and Jaime Haysman Boaler led Willamette with two shots each, with Samantha Lute, Elle Bachhuber, and Ella McComas each adding one. Sam Borngasser made 10 saves in goal for the Bearcats.
Willamette returns to Sparks Field next Sunday, September 29th, for their next match when they face the Bruins of George Fox University at 2:45 pm.
