Women’s Swimming Wins Eight Events and Tops Lewis & Clark 128-62

Salem, Ore. - Willamette Women's Swimming won both relays and six individual events in defeating Lewis & Clark 128-62.  Four Bearcats won multiple events, including Alayna Kisiday, Tessa Ciatti, Leah Howell, and Jacqueline Hall.

Kisiday and Ciatti were part of the 400-yard Medley Relay team, which won in 4:14.18. Tatum Good and Anna Hornbeck rounded out the winning relay team. Kisiday also won the 200-yard and 100-yard Freestyle, while Ciatti took first place in the 200-yard Butterfly and 200-yard Breaststroke.

Howell and Hall were part of the winning 400-year Freestyle Relay team with Lydia Schmitt and Emma Noffsinger.  Howell also won the 50-yard Freestyle and Hall the 200-yard Individual Medley.  Howell also raced to a third-place finish in the 100-yard Freestyle and Noffsinger finished second in the 200-yard Backstroke.

The Bearcats swept the top three places in two events.  In addition to Jacqueline Hall winning the 200 IM, Tatum Good finished second and Emma Schauble took third.  While Ciatti took first in the 200 Breast, she was followed by teammates Anna Hornbeck and Sarah Jenner in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.  

Elisa Michels took second place in both of the distance freestyle events, while Ella Carnell took third in the 1000-yard Freestyle and fourth in the 500-yard Free.

The Bearcats will return to the pool on Saturday, January 25th, at 11:00 a.m., for their final home meet of the season, when they face the University of Puget Sound.
