
Salem, Ore. - Willamette Women's Swimming battled back and forth with the University of Puget Sound before the Loggers won the final event and the meet, 110-95. Willamette had five wins on the afternoon, including two each by Alayna Kisiday and Tessa Ciatti. After the event, the Bearcats took a moment to celebrate seven student-athletes who were competing at home for the final time - Tatum Good, Jacqueline Hall, Anna Hornbeck, Ella Isaacson, Sarah Jenner, Alayna Kisiday, and Alicia Robbins.
Kisiday won two individual events in her final home meet and anchored the winning 200-yard Medley Relay team. She also won the 100- and 200-yard Freestyles. Good and Hornbeck were also part of the winning relay and took second-place finishes during the meet. Good was runner-up in the 100-yard Backstroke and Hornbeck in the 100-yard Breaststroke.
Hall and Jenner were part of the second-place team in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay. Hall also finished fourth in the 100-yard Butterfly and fifth in the 200-yard Free. Jenner was third overall in the 500-yard Freestyle and fourth in the 1650 Free.
Isaacson anchored the fourth-place Medley Relay team and also competed in the 100-yard Butterfly. Robbins completed the 50- and 100-yard Freestyle races.
Other second-place finishers for Willamette were Leah Howell in the 50-yard Freestyle and Lydia Schmitt in the 100-yard Butterfly. Howell also finished third in the 100-yard Backstroke and Schmitt was third in the 50-yard Freestyle.
Mia Sperbeck took fourth place in both the 50- and 100-yard Freestyle and Natalie Thomas took fourth in the 100-yard Breaststroke.
Willamette will finish the dual meet season at Linfield University on Saturday, February 1st, at 11:00 a.m. From February 13 to 16, they will compete at the Northwest Conference Championships in Federal Way, Washington.
