McMinnville, OR - Zoe Heino (16th) and Morgan Shaw (17th) helped Willamette Women's Cross Country to a 6th-place team finish in the Harrier Classic hosted by Linfield University.  The Bearcats had the third-best finish among NCAA Division III teams at the event, which was won by the University of Portland with Oregon State University finishing second.

Heino finished with a time of 15:02.86, less than a second ahead of Shaw at 15:03.76.  The next finisher for Willamette was Anna Bikle (43rd) at 15:54.17, followed by Lillian Courtnage-Dyke (45th) at 16:00.57, and Anastasiia Lemesh (56th) with a time of 16:21.80.  Grace Kosmicki was the final Bearcat finisher today with a time of 17:46.90.

The next race for the cross country team will be on Friday, September 13th, at the Ash Creek Collegiate Invitational hosted by Western Oregon University.
