Estacada, Ore. - A few weeks from their second-place finish at the Northwest Conference Championships, the Women's Cross Country team raced to a tenth-place finish against some of the top teams in the country at the NCAA West Regionals. The event was hosted by Lewis & Clark College and took place at Milo McIver State Park in Estacada, Oregon.
Morgan Shaw was the top finisher for the Bearcats, completing the 6K course in a time of 22:48.2, good for 45th place in the individual standings. Teammates Anna Bikle and Zoe Heino were not far behind, with Bikle placing 51st at 22:53.3 and Heino 57th with a time of 23:01.5. Anastasiia Lemesh finished 73rd overall, crossing the finish line at 23:23.6, and Lillian Courtnage-Dyke came in 88th at 23:46.7.
Willamette improved on their 14th-place finish in 2023 and was 10th out of 25 competing teams.
