SALEM, ORE. -- After finishing the 2012-13 academic school year with a 3.24 team cumulative grade point average, the Willamette University women's swimming team has been rewarded with a Team Scholar All-America Award by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

McMINNVILLE, ORE. -- The Willamette University and Linfield College women's swimming teams battled through all 11 events during their Northwest Conference dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 26 before the host Wildcats gained a narrow 106-98 victory over the Bearcats. WU held a slim 94-93 lead heading into the 200-yard freestyle relay, but Linfield took first and third in the race to win the meet.
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's swimming team trailed by three points entering the final event, but the Bearcats won the 400-yard freestyle relay by a sizable margin to earn a 101-97 victory over Lewis & Clark College on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the WU Natatorium. In the women's competition, L&C defeated Willamette, 140-65.

SALEM, ORE. -- Pacific Lutheran University achieved victories in men's and women's swimming against Willamette University on Saturday, Nov. 10. The Lutes defeated Willamette 134.5-69.5 in the men's competition. The PLU women's team won 146-55.
SALEM, ORE. -- The University of Puget Sound defeated Willamette University in men's and women's swimming on Friday, Nov. 9 at the WU Natatorium. The Loggers downed the Bearcat women's team, 138-62, and also won the men's competition, 130-72.
WALLA WALLA, WASH. -- Whitman College rolled past Willamette University in men's and women's swimming on Saturday, Nov. 3, as the Missionaries claimed a 146-55 win in the men's competition and a 160-40 triumph in the women's events. The Whitman teams improved to 2-0 overall, 2-0 in the NWC. Willamette's teams fell to 0-2 overall, 0-2 in the conference.
SPOKANE, WASH. -- Whitworth University defeated Willamette University in men's and women's swimming on Friday, Nov. 2, as the Pirates and the Bearcats began the dual match season. Whitworth's teams are now 1-0 on the season, 1-0 in the Northwest Conference, while Willamette's teams are 0-1 overall, 0-1 in the NWC.
PORTLAND, ORE. -- Members of the Willamette University men's and women's swimming teams participated in the NWC Relays, hosted by Lewis & Clark College on Sunday, Oct. 28. The meet included three relays featuring two men and two women swimming for each team, plus six women's relays and six men's relays with three swimmers per team.
FOREST GROVE, ORE. -- Willamette University competed at the Northwest Conference Sprint Pentathlon on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Pacific University. Swimmers participated in five events -- 50-yard races in the butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle, plus the 100-yard individual medley.
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University swimming teams will open the 2012-13 season this weekend at the NWC Sprint Pentathlon and the NWC Relays. Head Coach Leslie Shevlin begins her fourth year leading the Bearcats.
